"Planting a seed"
In December and January, Notre Dame, our secondary school in Hong Kong presented a play about vocations.
It was written by Notre Dame teacher, Teresa Suen, who also spent countless hours directing the students and getting together the necessary props.

It was presented four times, once in each of our schools and once in Notre Dame Parish. Each time was a great success because of its very lively presentation of religious life. It dealt with different kinds of vocations in the church in an engaging fashion that kept the attention the audience.

"Young" and Mature Oblates

It also presented much younger versions of local Oblates as "Fr. Slawek", "Fr. David", and " Fr. Ronne," "Fr. William" and "Fr. Irek." (See the photos with our look-alikes---well, sort of lookalike!) To address the girls Ms. Suen also included the Missionaries of Charity and the Oblatas in the drama. It‘s one way of planting a seed.

Now our students in all three schools have a much better idea of who the oblate are and even the "Oblateas" (dressed in gray).
